That’s the focus of TVNZ’s new documentary series, Hacked.
Hosted by journalist Mary-Jane Aggett and cyber security expert Chris Lloyd, the series explores the rapidly evolving world of cybercrime and the online dangers we’re exposed to every day. Rather than approaching the topic from a purely technical perspective, Hacked aims to better understand the people behind cyber-attacks, why they do it, and the real-world impact their actions can have.
One of the most compelling aspects of the series is its hands-on approach. As part of the programme, Mary-Jane Aggett herself, along with a New Zealand small-to-medium-sized business, agrees to be hacked in an effort to better understand the risks organisations and individuals face, as well as the consequences that can follow.
For business owners and employees alike, that’s what makes Hacked particularly relevant. Cyber security is no longer just an IT issue. It affects organisations of all sizes, their staff, their customers, and their reputation.
At Think I.T., we believe awareness is one of the most effective ways to reduce cyber risk. The more people understand the realities of cybercrime, the better equipped we all are to recognise risks and make informed decisions in an increasingly digital world.
