Remembering 22 February 2011

Today is a year on from the earthquake that took so many lives in Canterbury. We remember the 185 people who lost their lives on the 22nd, and many hundreds more who have been left with deep physical, psychological and emotional scars. We also remember the countless acts of heroism and compassion that brought some hope, comfort and light into that terrible, dark period.

We are honouring the lost, the scarred and the heroes with 1 minute of silence at 12:51pm today.
