Staff Biography - Debbie Cripps

In detail, what is your role at Think IT?
I am the Vertical Specialist; my role involves working with clients primarily in the Medical Sector to improve efficiencies in workflows (processes and documentation) as well as developing solutions. This is a newly created position and was formed to complement the team and provide added value for our clients.

What is it that drives and encourages you within your work and personal life?

My drive is helping people in all environments, from all backgrounds to have the best experience and achieve their aspirations and goals. My family are my support and encourage me to always better and challenge myself.

Who, or what, was the biggest influence in your career today?

My career started out working in the mail room of a law firm. The environment instilled values and beliefs that helped shape the person I am today. During the time I worked there I forged some memorable relationships and had the best grounding to the start of my working career.

Whose biggest fan, are you?

I don't really have one particular person, I am influenced by lots of different people. I tend to follow people that have similar aspirations and that can add value to my knowledge and skill set.

What accomplishment are you most proud of within your job role at Think IT?

I would have to say that having this opportunity to work for an amazing team of creative individuals makes me feel proud and fortunate to be a part of the team.

What technology most excites you?

Communications technology, we communicate in so many different ways including internet, multimedia (e-mail) telephone and other sound and video-based means. Communication influences how we do business and interact on a daily basis. It will be one to watch going forward, especially with what we have already seen in such a short time.

What areas should business be focussing on when it comes to technology?

Initially look at existing setups/systems in place then evaluating potential needs and or time-saving improvements. This might be ways to better manage existing systems or developing apps in conjunction with the team to improve efficiencies saving time and money.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to spend time with family, enjoy shopping and boating. I have had some wonderful experiences in the Gulf and have had the opportunity to spend nights in some of the most tranquil bays around Waiheke and Rakino. Renovating is also on the to-do list which tends to get pushed back more often than not.

If you could gain one super-human power, what would it be?

Teleportation - being able to travel back and forward in time as well as getting from one place to another without commuting. It would be like having a crystal ball to see into the future - maybe the winning Lotto numbers.
