What is Think! IT?
Not just a computer services company. Not just a telephone systems sales company.
Think! IT is an information systems company. We design, build and maintain the infrastructure that enables your enterprise to communicate with your customers, clients, patients, students, staff, management, partners, suppliers, government and other stakeholders.
Traditionally that communication has been split between voice communications (or telephony) and data communications, each with its own support industry. Although there has been significant integration of the technologies in that last 20 or so years, the delivery of integrated voice and data solutions has become the preserve of computer companies who dabble in telephony and telephone system resellers that contract in an IT resource. Each type of organisation can be very good at their core business but tends to see the customer’s business problem through the bias of their own specialisation and build solutions accordingly.
At Think! IT we have skills, experience, partnerships and certifications in both traditional telephony and computer systems. We have dedicated specialists in each field that cooperate to produce the most appropriate solution and provide the best return on investment immediately and in the future.
Our history
Think! IT today is the result of the 2007 merger of Think! IT and Specialist Computer Services. Both root businesses were founded in the mid 1990s (Think! IT was then called Rainbow Information Systems) as computer services providers focused on the maintenance of networks for small and medium businesses. The current management team includes original directors of both organisations.
Management Team
We all have over 15 years experience in all forms of business from start-ups to M&A and beyond. We have worked for blue chip companies all over the globe. Our wide variety of business experience and expertise makes for great decision making.
Director and Technical Manager, Graeme Rawlings
One of the original Specialist Computer Services owners. Well respected amongst his peers in the computer world, Graeme has worked in the IT industry since 1992. Graeme manages the technical services team: the helpdesk; field service computer technicians; telephone system technicians and technical coordination staff. Graeme is responsible for the overall excellence of our technical services delivery.
Director and Operations Manager, Kerry Wilson
One of the original Specialist Computer Services owners. Kerry has worked in the IT industry since 1993 in technical and sales roles. Kerry manages the day to day running of the business, and is responsible for the smooth operation of our logistical and billing services.
Sales Manager, John Way
One of the original Rainbow Information Systems/Think! IT owners. John has worked in the IT industry since 1994 in management and sales roles. John manages the IT and telephony sales and consulting teams, and is responsible for the overall excellence of our sales service.
Chairman, Norman Johnston BCom, CA, CMA, FCIS, FCCM, ANZIM
A chartered accountant with over 35 years managing his own medium-sized accounting practice in Auckland, Norman has also served as trustee for many non-profit and community organisations. Until recently, Norman was the long-serving General Secretary to the Wesley College Trust Board. Norman brings enthusiasm, trust, wisdom and a passion for business to our management team.
Director & CFO, David Johnston BCom, CA, PP
David is the Managing Director of Leonard Knight Ltd, a Pakuranga based chartered accounting practice specialising in business development. David is co-owner and Financial Controller of Mach8Leasing, the business computing leasing specialists.
