Think I.T. puts breakfast on the table at Te Papapa School

We are pleased to announce that Think I.T.has "adopted" Te Papapa School.

For some time we have been looking for a way to concentrate our diverse charity spending. Our criteria were:

           something local, so we can give back to the community of which we are a part;

           a place where our contribution can make a material difference to people's lives;

           a cause that does not receive significant "mainstream" or popular charity support.

Te Papapa Primary School is a small decile 2 urban school which is located in Onehunga. The school caters for year 1-6 students with a total roll of about 230. It is known to have a friendly and positive tone, which, together with the high level of staff professionalism and commitment, helps to provide students with an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.

Our first contribution was $2,000 in cash to support the school's breakfast programme. This ensures that all children attending the school can start the day with the energy they need to participate and learn. Providing needy children with breakfast at school significantly improves their chances of academic success, secure and well-paying jobs and therefore lives free of poverty. And in the very short term, it makes them happier children!
